I happened to be staying in a room where there was remodeling going on next door, so I was awaken in the morning to a lot of grinding and pounding sounds on the other side of my wall. Half of the lights in my room did not work. Other than those two things, the service was great, everyone was friendly. The bed was comfortable, the location is great, and I overall enjoyed my stay. It was definitely worth the price.

The hotel is in a great area with many cafes, shops, etc... The price is right if you are looking for VERY basic accommodations and will not be in your room. The staff could have been more friendly overall. They also claimed they were multilingual, but when we were having an exchange with the server at breakfast, she seemed very frustrated that we only understood minimal French. She told us she did not speak English, but did not attempt to get someone else to help us communicate our needs.

Tips about Paris
Paris is an amazing city, but can be overwhelming. If you only have a few days here, make a plan of what you want to see and be flexible. Buy museum passes ahead of time!

Your excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and a clean and comfortable room made for a very nice stay. However, it would be extremely helpful to have either hooks or towel bars in the bathroom (an electrical outlet there would be good as well).

The staff of the hotel is as friendly as they need to be, nothing more.
Forget the breakfast at the hotel, the service here is ridiculous, but lots of cafes in the neighbourhood serve excellent coffee.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Location was great just steps away from the subway station. Price very reasonable for Paris. Rooms were clean and in a safe location. Only downside rooms were a little warm so you had to sleep with windows open. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

Wonderful location! The amenities at the hotel were few...for instance, there was only a fan in our room, no air conditioning. In the heat of the summer, this is something to consider. Also, it was impossible to get coffee to bring up to our room, and no ice was available either. Some staff members were helpful, while others were not. For the price, an overall good hotel in a great location, as long as you are not expecting 5-star service!

Wonderful hotel in the wonderful place - very clean and cosy. The location is perfect. Breakfast was great. The only minus is the staff was not friendly although quite polite.

We were absolutely delighted with J'eanne D'Arc Hotel in Marais. I was with my 20-something daughter and it was charmingly French, very comfortable and quiet. We were delighted with the Marais area in general.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour à l'hôtel, mais nous avons choisi les nuits les plus bruyantes de l'année- le 21 juin, le 13 et 14 juillet.

This is the best hotel we've stayed at in Paris in this price range. We always enjoy the Marais and just wish we'd known about the hotel years ago. Breakfast is a bit hum drum.
