The Hotel Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and always seemed eager we were there. The room was quiet, comfortable and romantic, and a good walking distance to cafe's, shopping, attractions or to a bus stop. I would gladly stay there again!

Comments about the hotel
Charming boutique hotel well located on the left bank, near shops, cafes, and galleries. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Deluxe rooms are best value-lovely decor and quiet. Standard rooms are tiny, not recently renovated, noisy, a bit pricey for size and comfort. Great place to stay while on vacation. Quixotic wifi service and forgotten wake-up calls make this a less than ideal business hotel.

Comments about the hotel
I reserved the hotel via internet for 1 adult and 2 children. The reservation wasn't read over carefully by the hotel staff, therefore the hotel was only expecting 1 adult for the reservation I made. They gave me an extra room, and only charged me for an extra person on the second room. The hotel was close to everything, we walked everywhere. Staff was helpful and courtious. Everyone spoke English. Great location.

The rooms in the most hotels in paris are very small - which is nearly the standard in paris. Also in this hotel. A showercabin of 60x60centimeters is made for small people
Tips about Paris
The location is perfect in st.germain area
excellent restaurants are in a circle of 500m. Cafe de flore, brasserie lipp, le deux magots, brasserie saint benoit, le relais des entrecote, le petit zinc,
Best tip: le petit Bofinger!!!

Best hotel we stayed at. Perfect location, free WiFi, friendly staff, feather comforters on queen sized beds, windows opening onto a quiet street - yet a block from Rue St Germain du Pres. Perfect for us!
Tips about Paris
Just walk around soaking it in, stopping at cafes, with a museum or architectural monument along the way. Learn enough about your neighborhood to feel as if you can't get lost. Make yourself at home.

Comments about the hotel
The hotel was in a GREAT location! Minutes from the Seine, the Louvre, the beautiful streets of St. Germain, the Latin Quarter, the Tuilleries and the Champs Elysees. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was always clean and neat and tidy when we came back from our adventures. Although we never had breakfast in the hotel ( a wonderful bakery was just a few storefronts away) I am sure that was probbly great too!
Tips about Paris
The Musee de Moyen age (The Unicorn Tapestries!) was wonderful as was the French Onion Soup and the hot chocolate at Angelinas on the Rue de Rivoli (a little pricey but worth it!)

Comments about the hotel
The staff was for the most part very helpful but the weekend guy had the typical "attitude" and did not go out of his way to assist the customer. The hotel did not have any electrical plug adaptors for a US laptop which was inconvenient since electrical equipment stores were scarce and difficult to find. The staff claimed guests never returned their plugs - suggest using a deposit system to ensure return or enough money to purchase more plugs!
Tips about Paris
Definitely take a tour guide for visiting the Louvre. Ours parked under the museum and gained immediate entry and access to all the exhibits of interest. The tour was completed within 2 hours when just waiting in line to purchase tickets would have taken the same time and viewing the museum on your own would be exhaustive.

Comments about the hotel
This hotel is wonderfully located in the heart of the bustling Saint-Germain area, yet the double windows keep the rooms very quiet. Attractive decor in a charming old building. Pleasant, multi-lingual and helpful staff. The rooms at the lower price range can be quite small, and we were pleased at the opportunity to upgrade to a slightly larger room. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends as well.
Tips about Paris
If you like to wander on your own, do buy a Paris Plan Par Arrondissement. These are little map books that easily fit into a coat pocket -- each double page shows a complete arrondissement with all streets. There is a full street index at the front and a metro map as well. You can buy the Plans at any newspaper stand for about 5-6 euros. Essential!

Comments about the hotel
We did not have the best of stays due to a plumbing problem and loud music one night, but the staff where very informative and we managed to get a discount for our trouble. The location is great with places to visit just on your door step and you don’t even have to take the metro. The food around the area is expensive. I think next time I would like a more modern hotel but similar location.

Hotel has an excellent location, close to the metro station as well as shopping and restaurants. Rooms are a bit small but I have seen much worse in Paris. Staff was very courteous and helped me book several restaurants during my stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in one of the older rooms, but the accommodations were more than adequate. We had space and a great view of the streets. The staff were courteous, helpful, and made great recommendations. The local restaurants were fabulous. Just a short distance to the Metro, it was a perfect location. We felt more than comfortable walking around in the evening enjoying the nightlife.

Tips about Paris
The boulangeries are not open on sunday morning in the area so you cannot just pop out for a fresh pain du chocolat as any other day
