Friendly staff, clean rooms, working toilets.Excellent location.
A bit small overall, thus overall feeling is cramped although rooms are of decent size for paris.

Excellent for easy access to Eurostar and MRT. Some great reasonable priced cafes around as well.

Comments about the hotel
It is so nice to have a hotel just across the street from the station.
We always use this hotel when we have to work in Paris.
There is nothing wrong with it, but it is of course for that price also not a fancy hotel. Breakfasts are to us disappointing, so we take that outdoors.
The staff is always there, always helpfull and in a good mood.
Enough basic restaurants around ( Italian, japanese, chinese, indian) to have okay meals within 5 min. walking distance.

It would have been nice to have had coffee and tea making facilities in my room. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would prefer it if the desk staff had allowed me to speak French rather than talking in English to me - as I like to practise French!

You get what you pay for in Paris. This hotel is very friendly and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was small, but quiet and warm (-3c outside!). Toilet and bathroom were in separate small 'cupboard' like rooms off bedroom. Clean and adequate. Breakfast was buffet continental, with very fresh croissants and brioche. The decor overall was 'tired' looking. We would stay there again for it's convenience to the Gare du Nord, 200m away.

Comments about the hotel
This hotel is located directly opposit Gard Du Nord railway station and was very convenient for our overnight stay as we had to catch train to CDG airport. There was some renovation being done directly outside our room which was unattractive but room was fine. Pillows on bed were extremely small and flat, staff did grudging supply extra pillows when requested.

Good location for travelling around Paris via Gare du Nord opposite hotel, staff very good with children.
Tips about Paris
Buy a book of tickets and use the Metro for the sites, it is easy to understand (avoid the Metro beyond 7pm). Paris is not a large city so walking is good with a good map.

Comments about the hotel
Even running hot and cold water. All the toilet faucets are working well, the hotel also service central heater which all make the stay very comfortable.
Linen were clean , some worn out.
The hotel also has elevator though the stair is the circular one from underground to the 3rd floor made me feel dizzy so had to skip breakfast (@ Euro 7/- paid)
The decoration is with good taste but should take more care of the housemaid cleaning technique.
The front staff were with good service attitude.
Tips about Paris
Stay at Paris Le new Hotel Gare du Nord helped me not missed my train schedule, only 1 minute walk across the street to check in line. International food shops around the area. It is located in the north part of Paris. Internet connection was very good.

This hotel is all about location. A couple of minutes walk from Gare du Nord wins over any more luxurious hotel. The front desk staff have always been helpful, even calling us when we overslept and almost missed breakfast. The decoration colours don't do it any favours but I would stay here any time I visit Paris.

Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Every transportation, resturant, fast food, supermarket and so on, everything you need is just around the corner, incredibly convenient. A lot of people around because the main train station is just across the road opposite the hotel but safe.

The owner of this hotel is incredibly helpful and generous with his time to all his clients. This is my third stay and he helped me a great deal. He stored my luggage while I was working and allowed me to use the internet in the lobby 2 days later.
