Front desk was incredibly helpful. Gave me great advice as to what transportation to use, etc. Allowed me to store luggage beyond checkout time, which was incredibly appreciated. Rooms needed some repair but were not dirty by any means. Great location with respect to trains, etc.

Although it could use a lick or two of paint, the hotel offers everything you can expect in Paris at this price; the airco came in quite handy! Extremely close to the Gare du Nord, 15 minutes walk from Montmartre/Sacre coeur, very acceptable level of city noise, subway right before the door.

An excellent pied a terre for those using Gare du Nord. Literally a stone's throw from the main part of the station, staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms are pleasant, everything working as you would expect, and well serviced. Reception facilities are very small, but its position allows you to move quickly out to a neighbouring cafe. We will use it again when travelling by Eurostar.

Get to the Louvre and other museums soon after opening time - the crowds tend to build quickly.

Bateau Bus is an excellent way of seeing the main buildings around the Seine, as well as hopping from one to the next.

The hotel room was small but clean. Everything worked (air conditioning, television, etc.) The hallway to my room was cluttered with a vacuum cleaner and spare mattresses making it a little difficult to manuever through with my luggage, but there was a working elevator so I didn't have to climb up 6 flights of stairs to get to my room. The only word of caution would be for taller travelers - the ceiling in the bathroom was slanted. I'm only 5'4" and I almost hit my head a couple of times.

Hotel is right across from the Gard du Nord and a major metro line that takes you right down to the city center. Very easy to get around.

Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and made all the more so by the friendly and attentive staff. I had previously stayed here several times but 12-15 years ago and was very pleased to find the same friendly and convenient hotel I had previously visited.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location near Gare du Nord was beneficial. There were numerous decent restaurants around and the rest of the city was fairly accessible.

Bien situé en face de la gare du Nord, à l'hôtel Richmond, belle petite chambre tout confort avec salle d'eau. Confort suffisant, aucun bruit malgré quartier animé. Petit déjeuner à l'hôtel voisin (New Hotel), très bien. Réveillés par des voisins très bruyants le dimanche à 6H, après 1 heure de vacarme nous appelons la réception qui avoue son impuissance ... seul bémol à ce weekend.

Hôtel très bien situé pour accéder au stade de France, la gare du Nord étant sur ligne D du RER en correspondance notamment avec la gare de Lyon, donc très pratique pour provinciaux.

Stayed in this hotel for a one night stopover in paris so was really handy as is just across the road from Gare du Nord. Would recommend it as a good base to explore paris, receptionist was very friendly. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food. Would definitely recommend paying the extra money for a room with air-con as it was 30C when we stayed in June.

Paris is Paris. No matter what time of year there is always something happening. The hop on hop off bus is good value and the Eiffel Tower is a must visit, although it is advisable to be early to avoid a long wait for tickets.

Try speaking a little French, and the people will be super friendly!!!! The Metro is great! (but 1.50 Euro a pass, so walk when possible). Find out about discounts, like going to the Louvre after 6:00. Also, check out grocery stores for cheap and delicious snacks, drinks, and wine.
