The hotel is very female friendly, in a wonderful area and has a warm feel overall. The beds are super-comfy and the bathroom was very clean. The rooms are very tiny but well-appointed and have opening windows!

As others have commented the room was small, but clean. Perfect for that weekend getaway if you are really only looking for a place to lay your head at night.

Small but perfectly formed hotel, with a querky feel to it. We really enjoyed our stay at the Mayet.

Remortgage your house before you go!
Very expensive for a pint 8 euros+ in some bars!
Although in the latin quarter 4 metro stops from the Mayet prices were a bit cheaper.

The Mayet is a lovely hotel, great value for money, clean and friendly, I will certaintly be staying there again and recomending it to friends.

We would stop again here. The room was a bit small but adequate. Comfortable bed, extra pillows on request, good shower. The place had an uplifting use of colour and decor and the staff were customer focused. It would be nice to see cereals for breakfast, not a costly or troublesome item to provide. Lovely restaurant next door, cake shop round the corner and a metro. Even Montmartre was only 15 mins away.

Get the Doring Kingsley Guide and a flat map, mark off what you want to see and you will be surprised at how much you will get to see. Getting into places can be expensive so be a bit picky. A book of 10 metro tickets will save your feet, and at lunchtime a sandwich from a kiosk could save you quite a bit money to spend on your last day of the week. Lovelt city, lovely Parisians, felt much safer here than in Italian or Spanish cities.

The room was small, however very clean with a nice balcony. Shower was tiny, but spotless and good enough. The breakfast was sufficient to set us up for a days sightseeing. The staff on reception were always willing to help and the girl who did the breakfast was extremely friendly and attentive. It was nice to find a hotel in Paris that wasn't trying to get away with providing a poor level of service for as much cash as possible - well worth a visit, highly recommended!

Watch out for all the beggars and con-men around the tourist attractions. If someone pretends to have found a gold ring in the street - don't even engage them in conversation - it's a con!!

Musee D'Orsay well worth seeing if you are into Art Nouveau!

Small but completely adequate for a short stay in Paris when only using the hotel to sleep in. The location is interesting, tucked away from the main tourist areas but within walking distance to St Germain de Pres and 5 mins from Rodin Museum.

Long queues for most museums and places of interest, best to buy entrance tickets beforehand so can bypass the queues.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the hotel and everytime the staff have been wonderful. The location is great, with easy access to the Metro and the free breakfast is a nice touch.

El personal es excelente, servicial y amable. Las habitaciones son muy chicas y el baño tambien. Tiene una muy buena ubicacion con metro a una cuadra.

Excellent stay. Very helpful staff, very comfortable hotel. Small rooms but bright decor. Eccentric but very cheerful, off beat design which helps you immediately relax and and puts you in a greta mood tyo enjoy Paris. Easy access to very interesting areas of Paris and near to good restaurants and high quality shops.

Explore St Germain, Montparnasse and the Jardin de Luxembourg areas. Take hotel's advice and eat at L'Auuthentique - yes, it serves authentic French basic foods and is inexpensive; don't hqve the bone marrow though!

The Hotel was very good value for money. It is hard to find many affordable, trendy little hotels in Paris. It was very clean. The services were perfectly good for a small hotel but not much needed. Not keen on dining room, would have preferred to have not had breakfast included and eaten out. Good location for Eiffel Tower, and St Germain.

Always worth bearing in mind that museums close on a Tuesday - if you're only there for 2 days!

Very comfortable hotel -- extremely pleasant staff and excellent location. For those inclined to walking, everything within reasonable distance. Otherwise, metro just around the corner. Lots of little grocery stores also within a few hundred metres for supplies. No street noise, with the extremely sound proof windows closed. The only down side -- the doors aren't as well sound proofed and there can be noise from the halls. Even so, would happily stay there again.

It is a nice hotel - clean and functional with very clean bathrooms and bedrooms, good services (free computer in reception), very nice (simple but very good) breakfast.
As a young family we booked two rooms next to each other which worked well.
It was a good stay and we'd go back again - the photos make it look more spacious than it is, but it worked well for us given we were out all day.
It is inevitably pricey booking two rooms - 300 euro per night in total.
