It is rare to find a hotel which embodies Paris’ historical background while providing all the modern requirements of today’s society. The luxurious Lotti Hotel is such a place. Walking over its threshold is like stepping into another world, one where great thinkers, aristocrats and artists from the 'Belle Epoque ' once wandered.

The street itself was completed in 1801 with the Hotel Lotti opening its doors in 1910. Located a stone-throw away from the Tuileries Garden, you can either head west to the Champs Elysees with all its famous designer shops and of course the beautiful Arc de Triomphe, or you could head East, and find yourself in the square of the Louvre Museum with the prominent glass Pyramid at its heart.

Strolling through the Tuileries Garden from one point to another should take about 40 minutes which ends all too soon. When you're near the Pyramid, make sure to stand in front of the Carrousel Arc de Triomphe, a smaller version of the one on the Champs-Elysées, but designed especially in such a way that despite being apart by nearly 2.5 miles, they seem to fuse one into the other. But if you want to stay near the hotel then the neighborhood will surely be to your taste with the Place Vendôme and all its renowned jewelers nearby, gorgeous cafés and bakeries, antique dealers, art galleries and bookstores.

It would take a novel to tell you all about the wonderful Lotti Hotel but discovering it yourself will be part of what made your trip so special. Whoever said that first impressions always count was right when it comes to this hotel. The large hallway is but a preview to the rooms, set with marble, high mirrors and delicate lighting. The staff will be more than happy to take care of everything for you, from your luggage to booking shows and telling you all about the area.

Whether you reserved one of the beautiful attic rooms, those with balconies or a suite, you will not be disappointed as the hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation work and now offers as standard, cable television, Wi-Fi, safety deposit box and air-conditioning. The marbled bathrooms are spacious and private, offering natural light, and most of them equipped with both bathtub and stand up shower, two sinks, bathrobes and hair dryers.

Beautiful views make this setting perfect whether your room is facing the rue de Castiglione, rue Saint Honoré, or rue du Mont Thabor. The luxurious furniture was also specially designed for the hotel and provides the comfort expected in a 21st century establishment whilst retaining the character of this historical street. Other advantages include pant pressers, individual minibar, turn down service and room service.

If you are feeling hungry but want to enjoy a cocktail first, the bar “La Dolce Vita”, set in a superb room with stained glass roof, exotic plants, heavy drapes and antique portraits will surely become a favorite. When ready, step into the intimate and elegant “Il Lotti” Restaurant and enjoy a superbly prepared meal without the restrictions and stuffiness of other famous places. For a night cap, take a stroll and relax in the beautifully lit inner courtyard, and dream about what treats the City has in store for you tomorrow.
