The hotel de l'Academie is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the Lourve, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, and other sites, including the St Germain area of Paris.

Do not be afraid. All whom we met were most cordial, friendly and helpful. Our time spent in Paris was delightful in every respect.

We visited with our 4 children, and had two rooms. My only complaint was both bathrooms need remodeled. They were moldy and old. My youngest has allergies and coughed most of the nights. Great location. Evening staff helpful with restaurants for families.

Just the kind of hotel I always choose. Not too big and anonymous. Its location in the centre of Paris is perfect for a big family (children of various ages, parents and grandparents) with various plans for the day and a wish to get together for dinner.

The location of this hotel was the first thing that made me pick this hotel and it was recommended by another hotel close by I had stayed at before. The rooms were rather small, but adequate. The staff was especially helpful and pleasant. I would stay there again!

PARIS - My favorite city... so it is always a pleasure to travel there. This hotel was close to Notre Dame, it was on the left bank, with lots of little hotels and restaurants. It is where I prefer.

Great location,friendly and welcoming, exactly what we wanted and expected. Overall value for money would have been excellent except for the breakfast which we thought very expensive for what was on offer.

Because it was converted from a residence, the layout is awkward and ramped. The "lift" is so small it cannot hold two small adults and their luggage. One must take the luggage in a separate trip from the other traveler. The rooms are located on different levels from the lift resulting is one carrying luggage up or down a few steps when arriving on a floor. The bath is the smallest I have seen, with a shower as small as a phone booth.

The location of this hotel is perfect. I could not improve the location. If you choose this hotel, do not select a standard size room. Either select another or upgrade to a delux/superior. It will be worth the extra charge.

Paris is great, people refer to the french as bolshy, well we have been several times and I have yet to experience any bolshiness from them, we always make an effort to speak to them in french and I believe they respond favourabley to this rather than us expecting them to speak to us in their own country in our language, which let's face it, isn't fair. Do your home work look at the guide books decide where you want to go and just go for.

Advertizing a "coin cuisine" -- a kitchenette -- is very misleading. While there was a small stove, a refrigerator and sink, there were no utensils, pots, dishes of any sort, not even something in which to heat water for coffee.

The hotel was very quaint and we were especially pleased with the location. We were minutes from the Louvre, the Seine, the Orsay, Notre Dame... everything! We were able to explore Paris on foot from this central location. The staff at the hotel was helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. I would absolutely stay here again.

Bring comfortable walking shoes and get out and explore! Try to hit a main attraction or two each day but more importantly, just enjoy the city. Walk through the neighborhoods, enjoy a sidewalk cafe and have a crepe from a crepe stand!

Welcoming, knowlegable staff. Hotel has got lots of character and was clean, comfortable and accessible. Excellent location for Louvre and other top attractions in Paris.

Great location and great value. Like most Paris hotels, the room was "compact", but we were out exploring the city most of the time. Loved the location, good restaurants nearby and many attractions (eg. Louvre) were easily accessible. Staff were very helpful, and I would stay there again anytime.
