The large dining room where a delicious continental buffet breakfast is served from 7.30 am is an absolute delight with its comfortable seats and magnificent glass canopy.

The lounge is particularly cosy, with deep armchairs and antique furniture complemented by beautiful art pieces. The adjoining bar offers a large variety of drinks and cocktails so you can lose an entire evening with friends and family in the lounge discussing the events of the day and making plans for the next. The experienced hotel staff prides itself in answering the most unusual requests and will be able to advise you as to where to eat and what to see in this magical area.

Whether you stay in a standard, deluxe rooms or junior suite, each soundproofed room has its own character and attractive colour scheme. Many still have the original beams on show and are kept in the 19th century style Paris is loved for, and all are equipped with satellite television, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar and safety deposit box. The antique furniture is enhanced by the traditional tall windows overlooking the gorgeous neighbourhood while the sophisticated bathrooms (some with Jacuzzi) are a testament to our modern way of living. A wonderful touch from the owners is to have invested in king size and super king size beds in the deluxe rooms and junior suites, an extreme rarity in Paris. St-Germain des Prés is a world of its own, with a strong sense of community and a deep love for gastronomy and entertainment. Simply cross the River Seine at the end of the street to find yourself at the Louvre Museum and Tuileries Garden with the Champs-Elysées beyond. The Cathedral Notre-Dame is only a short walk East as well as the buoyant Latin Quarter. The Hotel Académie has the fantastic benefit of a private car park and is very well served by public transport.
