Beds were a bit short even for people of average height. Otherwise fine. Good location.

I was surprised by the lack of noise considering the fact that we were steps away from a busy pedestrian street. While the room was comfortable and well-appointed, it was also the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. There are renovations going on in hallways and stairwells in the building -- the room was attractive and comfortable, but the hallway outside the room was uncarpeted with temporary light fixtures hanging from an unpainted ceiling.

Excellent location. Good service, small but pleasant rooms. They are overhauling and renovating the hotel, so not all facilities are in use.

Staff friendly and helpful, good position, clean and excellent air conditioning in hot weather.

No carpet on the landing. No tea/coffee in room although there was room service.

The Open Tour buses are a very convenient way to get around the main tourist places at a reasonable price if you take the two day ticket.

I was only in Paris for one day, so I wanted a place in La Marais that was affordable, clean and easy to get to. This hotel was all of the above. Being in Paris, I wasn't going to spend a lot of time in the hotel, so I didn't need a lot amenities. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

If you're looking for a funky, lively area of Paris, the Marais is definitely it. I traveled with another woman and we felt safe here. The staff were great and spoke English. I loved the dog Lilu.

The BUS!! Ask someone about the bus routes. We found some of the routes were more convenient than the metro.

Great location! Hotel is perfectly clean and fine. Has some character and a nice dog. Room is quite small, air conditioning worked only marginally, and bed got uncomfortable after a couple of nights. But overall, good deal for the area.

I stayed at this hotel end of December 2007 to 3rd of January 2008. I did not stay at this hotel at the date you mentioned above. It is a nice hotel with very friendly staff but somehow noisy.

I like the Hotel du Vieux Marais very much. Good situation,not far from centre. Good personal, good breakfast. I recommend this hotel for all tourists, especially with children.
