Comments about the hotel
The rooms were cozy and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Tips about Paris
I will not come to Paris again in the Summer. It was too hot for walking around all day and there were too many tourists. I think Autumn or Spring would be the better time to travel in Europe.

Breakfast should be better, staff should know English better, price per night should be little bit less. Otherwise great value for money! Recommend!

Comments about the hotel
It is a lovely hotel in the best location.Quiet and clean, it is situated within a walking distance to many landmarks of Paris. It is very close to Metro St. Michel, from where there is a direct line (RER) to CDG.

Comments about the hotel
The front desk was very nice and helpful. The cleaning ladies were also very nice and patient with us because we were not early risers most days so they had to wait til early afternoon to clean our room. The room was spacious. The only thing that fell short was the A/C. We didn't seem to have any control over the thermostat and it never really cooled the room adequately. We did try turning off the lights in the rooms. Milder weather outside probably would have alleviated the situation.
Tips about Paris
I would definitely go back to Paris again but not in July. With the crowds, which were even more than I anticipated, the heat was that much more unbearable. On the subways and at the Eiffel Tower in particular. Get tickets online for the major attractions, you will not regret it.

The Hotel du Levant is in a great location in the Latin Quarter. Sidewalk cafes abound. One block from Seine and two blocks from Notre Dame. Large room. Made good use of the space and was decorated nicely. Big bath. Tight toilette. Plenty of room to use the desk. Free internet. Wide screen tv and great reception for World Cup. Air conditioning was great the days it got to 33C. Breakfast buffet had a good variety. Good strong coffee. Excellent croissants.
Tips about Paris
Make a list of what you want to see and do. Be flexible. Gratuity is built into you meal bill at 15%. Pay the bill and round up to the nearest Euro for a little extra. Be prepared for crowds at major sites. Watch out for girls finding a gold ring at your feet. You didn't drop it and and they are counting on your greed to let them get close enough to pick your pocket. Don't miss the Louvre. Have escargot and onion soup frequently. Drink lots of wine. Drink beer by the half liter.

I love this hotel - the best place in the best location...this time my husband was with me, but when I visit Paris alone, I also stay here because this hotel has single rooms and is very safe. The breakfast is so good. I am missing thae croissants and baguettes a lot.
Tips about Paris
When you arrive in Paris, take the RER B from CDG to St. Michel and you are less than 50 yards from the front door of Hotel du Levant

I love this hotel, and I've visited it before both with family and friends. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel is fantastic, the Seine is only 5 minutes aways if not less than that. There is no doubt that I will be visiting Hôtel du Levant though the price of the rooms has increased during these last few years.

Comments about the hotel
The location was fabulous. Plenty of places to eat right outside the hotel and 2 metro stops within quick walking distance. We had the suite 30-31 and it was fine for a family with 3 teenagers. I would recommend this hotel particularly for the location.
Tips about Paris
Take some time and learn the metro. Once you get the hang of it, it is a very easy way to get around
