The hotel website accurately portrays the hotel. It's a charming building in a quiet but conveniently located neighborhood.
The man behind the desk spoke very good english, and was happy to help me with various projects.

We arrived with a sick child. The staff promptly made an appointment for us with a nearby physician. They were extremely helpful in this and various other matters. Wonderful place! Wonderful staff!!
Tips about Paris
Pack light!! Take Bus 69 to see some really great city sights and then switch to the Metro for speed and convenience.

Comments about the hotel
I was extremely pleased with la Tulipe. Upon arrival, I discovered that I had been upgraded form a cheaper street room to a courtyard room which was a pleasant surprise. The facilities are lovely, the breakfast is good although a bit light and the staff are very friendly. Great location as well -- the hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the Invalides and Pont de la Alma RER stops, as well as 15 minutes from the Eiffel Tower.

Comments about the hotel
I stayed here for an extended post-business trip weekend. Loved it. Will be returning with my wife.
The only point that was a little less than great was the bathtub/shower. No shower curtain and the shower head was held at tub level though it was on a hose so you could use it standing up. Might have been a European thing. Made showering a touch awkward.
Tips about Paris
Be careful about people that find dropped rings near you. Fell for it once, on the third time, I showed him the ring from the first time as he approached.

Wonderful location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Very quiet, even on New Year's Eve, which was good for our family. A bit expensive but that would be true for any Paris hotel.

Comments about the hotel

Tips about Paris
Good market & shops in Rue de Cler. Good value quality food in Cafe de Marche-Rue de Cler-yes and staff are very friendly! Easy access Metro and local buses to rest of city. Great area to stay in-if you get lost look for Eiffel Tower.
Consider evening at 'Au Lapin Agile'-traditional French Music with talented performers. It's on from 9.00-02.00
