Comments about the hotel
Hotel de la Tulipe is in the perfect location. Walking distance to the Eiffel tower and the metro, and with many excellent cafes and restaurants close by. The hotel itself is very quaint, comfortable, and affordable.
Tips about Paris
Paris in August is not as crowded as other summer months, but many good shops and restaurants are closed while the owners are on holiday.

pretty hotel, but one of the hosts is not so kind. Location is not so conbenient. It takes 6 - 7 mins from hotel to metro "Invalide". Breakfast is so-so.

Tips about Paris
aout semble âtre la période idéale pour se rendre Paris en voiture (déplacement et parking=pas de contrôle). Aprés, les transports en commun sont performants.

Comments about the hotel
Great location, quiet street, typical Paris feel: pretty courtyard, old staircases, etc. Family suite for 2 adults + 3 children perfect for our family. (It's so hard on the internet to find hotels that suit families with three kids.) Nice surprise to find a piano in the breakfast room. Breakfast a bit pricey but probably typical.
Tips about Paris
Do the Eiffel tower at night. There were no queues for the staircase at 10pm, and you get a wonderful view from the second level.
Musee Rodin is a lovely little museum with gardens full of Rodin's works. My children loved mimicking the poses of the sculptures!

Comments about the hotel
Percent in Paris is a reasonable charge, making fun of the hotel, found in the special care furniture everywhere. Close to the Eiffel Tower in the heart of Paris, go too far not to. Quiet and safe surroundings well, many restaurants. Can go out at night in peace. Slowly relax in the courtyard. May have a toilet nearby. I stayed in a small room window, but I feel a little cramped, considering the price seemed reasonable. Wanted to stay another room.
Tips about Paris
Around the Eiffel Tower too many vendors, so it comes up to speak, be careful.

Well positioned hotel in a quiet area surrounded by good restaurants and cafes. Rooms are large by local standards.
Tips about Paris
Parisians are a polite and well mannered bunch so treat them the same and you will be fine. The Metro is the way to get around and will take you interesting corners of the city away from the immediate tourist crush.

Comments about the hotel
Nous avons adoré l'Hotel. Sa location permet d'accéder à la tour Eiffel, les champs Élysées, bref tout ce qui est près de La Seine sans soucis de tansport. Une simple petite marche suffi.
Tips about Paris
Si c'est votre première fois à Paris, prenez une passe journalière sur le Batobus à votre première journée afin d'accéder à tous les points d'intérêts et éviter les marches un peu plus longues, quoique qu'intéressantes.

Comments about the hotel
We loved our room. It was very charming... my daughter was enchanted from the moment she stepped in the front door. The room was clean and comfortable. One has to remember that older hotel rooms generally are small, but that didn't detract. Staff were always pleasant and accommodating. The location was excellent -- we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The area was quiet and nearby shops were affordable. The hotel was close to la rue Cler, which has a pedestrian market and cafes.
Tips about Paris
This was my daughter's first European trip, so we visited the main attractions of the Louvre and the Eiffel tower. We walked everywhere, as Paris is beautiful for taking strolls. If needed, the metro is not hard to navigate. We bought tickets online in advance, or checked online for the best entrances to avoid long lines: Louvre, Eiffel. It's also a good idea to visit Paris when the big sales are on during the summer.

Could do with some air conditioning as the rooms were very stuffy during the hot weather
Tips about Paris
Some very good restaurants near this hotel and the area seemed less touristy despite the fact that the Eiffel Tower is very near.Get a mobilis and use the public transport. Avoid the hotspots and enjoy the atmosphere.

Comments about the hotel
Hotel staff was wonderful and the property charming and well located near Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and not too far from Champs-Elysee. Rooms are a little worn and there is no a/c or elevators. Nice garden area and comfortable lobby for sharing a nice bottle of wine before/after dinner in the area. Grab a bottle of wine from Stephane Morel's collection across the street from the hotel (he'll recommend some excellent wines for you). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!
Tips about Paris
1) L'Ami Jean on rue Malar near hotel is an excellent Basque restaurant.
2) L'Antiquaire du Vin is an excellent wine shop on 12 rue Malar - ask proprietor Stephane Morel for a recommendation and tasting
3) make arrangements in advance for Eiffel Tower (online reservations can be made) to avoid the hour and a half wait
