Comments about the hotel
Great location for sightseeing & restaurants. Found front desk staff very friendly & helpful (even though we don't speak French). Would certainly stay there again.
Tips about Paris
Take some good walking shoes & walk wherever you can. If you like Monet, visit the Orangerie in the Tulleries.

Comments about the hotel
This was our 6th stay at this hotel in 10 years, and the 2nd stay in 2008. I'm planning another extended weekend vacation in May and will choose The Hotel Saint-Louis again. We love this little hotel. The staff are great the rooms are nice for the money. The location is the best with easy access to the metro and the RER.
I would highly recommend this find!

Comments about the hotel
This hotel is worth every penny due to its location. If you havent been to Paris, know that this is the most beautiful street there, close to all the main tourists' attractions. With that said, this is a modest hotel with small rooms. The beds are not too comfortable and we were given a room with two single beds instead of a queen bed like we had asked for. However the bathrooms are of good size, almost new and very nice which we valued the most. The staff was both friendly and helpful.

Bed could be upgraded. Could have used instructions for operation of bathroom heater and more area rugs on chilly bedroom tile floor in winter (room 52). Otherwise, Hotel Saint Louis was welcoming and a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely helpful and you just can't beat the location. We will recommend it and re-visit.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. Although the hotel is old, it was very comfortable and quaint and the surounding area was magnificent. I will definitely return there on my next trip in Paris.

Comments about the hotel
I have spent several Christmas holidays at Hotel St Louis and I highly recommend it. The staff is excellent, and you can't beat the location for the price. Rooms are very clean. Hallways and stairwell show a little wear and tear from luggage bumps, but that's not unusual in European hotels. I especially love upper floor rooms with balconies that have views of the Seine. Nice breakfast room. The hotel is located on a charming street close to Metros, Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville.
Tips about Paris
Paris was very cold in December 2008, but that's not typical. Last year it was warmer, but wetter too. Still, if you love Paris, weather isn't much of an issue. Besides, Paris is lovely in the snow.

Comments about the hotel
Staff was absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate our requests and questions! (Thanks, Bernard, for all of your help.) Location was ideal. Rooms are tiny but, bathrooms were sparkling clean and, as someone said, you don't go to Paris to hang out in your hotel room.
Tips about Paris
Everywhere we went we were greeted by warmth and courtesy by the service sector workers who assisted us. It added a wonderful component to our mid-December, romantic trip to dazzling Paris.

Cosy hotel with charming surroundings. Calm and quiet in the beginning of December. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The simply furnished room and small bahroom included all we needed; they were very clean, which is the most important aspect for us. Corridors would need some facelift. The only additional thing we would appreciate is a small refridgerator in the room, we used the balkony for that purpose. Breakfast was quite simple but the friendliness of the staff compensated for the deficiences.

We have stayed at Hotel St Louis nearly each year since 1998 during our annual December trip to Paris. The hotel has everything we need, the staff is very friendly, and the location is the best in Paris!

Comments about the hotel
Hotel very well located, romantic area. Next to Notre Dame.
Quiet at night. Pleasant staff.
However this hotel is NOT for handicapped people,
the stops of the elevator are between 2 floors and to get to the room it's necessary to go up or down a
few steps of a narrow spiral staircase. Bathroom is tiny too, and not much room to hang clothes.
Tips about Paris
Try the restaurant at 69 of the same street called
"l'Ami Louis", you will not be disappointed by the food, as for the service it could be better.
Not far from the hotel the brasserie called "Lutetia" near the bridge is worthwhile too.
