Comments about the hotel
This is a nice hotel, very clean, rooms are spacious for Europe, and the price was good. Only minor drawback was the bed was a little uncomfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke English. The location was good also, just a short metro ride from all the attractions.
Tips about Paris
We were only passing through, so our only tip is-- stay for more than 1 night! There is a lot to see!

Comments about the hotel
Convenient location near shops, restaurants and metro, yet pleasantly quiet. Good sized room with excellent bathroom. Staff competent and helpful. The wardrobe doors in our room were a bit awkward to open and had a noisy magnetic catch. Everything else was fine.
Tips about Paris
Don't try to do it all. Try the Orangerie gallery if you want to sample some impressionist and modern paintings without being trampled by the hordes.

This was the first hotel in Europe we have stayed that charged internet use for gests. One night, I needed to use it to confirm my flight and there was no key word available to 30 minutes of use, only 24 hours for 10 euros (just to use it during 3 minutes). But the staff understood my problem and helped me to solve it !

Comments about the hotel
This is a reasonably priced hotel in a wonderful location. If it's your first time in Paris - don't stay by the Eiffel Tower - there's nothing out there! You're better off staying in the Latin Quarter (close to the Notre Dame) to be walking distance from great restaurants, tons of sights and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens.

It is expensive for what you get, but that is probably all of Paris. It is in a very good location though, you can take the RER from the airport and walk a little to get there. Saves you a $100 cab ride. You can probably find a better place, this place won't kill you, but probably not what you had in mind for $160. I think for $100 or so it is fine.
Tips about Paris
If you want to beat the cab ride, find a hotel within walking distance to an RER train stop. Also, we bought a Carte Orange to get around the metro, it was a good deal if you are there for a good portion of a Monday-Sunday, but if I forgot to bring a picure for it again I wouldn't bother buying one in a picture booth, too expensive and no one ever checked us. Have fun!

Comments about the hotel
I have stayed at this hotel many times, alone, with my husband, with my daughter, and with friends. I was recommended to stay here by others and now I recommend to others. All of thanked me for the recommendation. Compared to others I have stayed at many hotels before the Michelet Odeon but will not go anywhere else. This is my preferred hotel. The staff are friendly, the situation is excellent, convenient access via metro from TGV or airports and the rooms in very good condition.
Tips about Paris
Paris is too beautiful to describe and there are too many tips to give here. However a favourite place for my quiet time to reflect is in Les Jardins de Luxembourg. Leave the shopping and musees and take time to read, sleep, or just feflect on the beauty that surrounds you
