Excellent value for money. Great staff and good location. Would def visit again. Only points for improvement were the bathrooms - (extremely!) small and a bit run down, needed a bit of modernising. A point to note as well is that the lift is very small as well so would ask for a room on 1st floor if possible!

Good location, clean, very good breakfast, very nice staff. But the taxi at 6 a.m. to Orly Airport costs 45 euros, not 25-30 as I was told!

Very small little hotel with tiny little rooms. Pretty good rates but hotel lacks the little things you come to expect. No pen or notepad on the desk. No guide to how to call out from the room. The sheets were nice and clean and the shower had good water pressure and I only use the room to shower and sleep so not having cable or wi-fi wasn't a huge issue.

The only criticism about this hotel was that we came back one afternoon at 4pm very tired and weary and were unable to get into our room because it hadn't been cleaned. An hour later it was the same. Sheets were strewn over the narrow staircase and baskets of linen blocked our exit from the lift, not a very satisfactory way of working. Does health and safety not apply in other European countries as it does in England?

Tips about Paris
Check before you go to make sure there are no strikes at the places you most want to visit. There were strikes at the Pompidou Centre and also at the top of the Arch de Triomph. Bless the French, they have their own way of getting things sorted.

Location is great, near two metro stops, food and restaurants near by. On a quiet street, with a great staff. Ask about internet.

Look for specials at restaurants. Small bistros often have great food at a good price. Sometimes the bus is better than the metro, especially with bags.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons en groupe dans cet hôtel et tout est parfait. L'accueil très sympa, le petit déjeuner de bonne qualité/prix. La situation géographique idéale prés de République et de la gare de l´Est.
Nous reviendrons certainement l´année prochaine !

Réserver des billets pour le Louvre sur Internet et les acheter ensuite à la Fnac de votre ville, vous évite de faire la queue devant la pyramide. Super pour les nocturnes du vendredi.

Très pratique lorsque l'on vient de la gare de l Est, à une seule station de métro, ce qui permet de récupérer les bagages après une journée de shopping par exemple. A 2 pas du théâtre St Martin donc aucune crainte lorsque l'on rentre entre nanas le soir.

Nous avons réservé une nuit dans cet hôtel car idéalement bien placé à 5 minutes à pied du theâtre st martin et 10 du musée Grévin.

I have stayed at this hotel before, in a single room witch was very nice, quiet and newly renovated. This time we were two, in a room facing the street, shabby with a strange smell. This brings down the grade. But the staff is wonderful and the location is great.

Super location close to metro. The staff was excellent and could not have been better. Our room (a twin) on the 5th floor was larger than expected and the bath was small but clean and well maintained. Room is simple but has everything you need. The only issue was noise from the street which was cut when we closed the french door. A very nice hotel well worth the affordable rate. Highly recommended!!

Be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs in the metros. Cafes away from the tourist attractions are much more affordable and authentic.

Kindest and very helpful stuff and very practical and central location! Perfect basis, all is near by, bikes in front, Metro 2 minutes far, walking distances to places. Would book again.

Les verres dans la salle de bain n'avaient pas été remplacés.

A good starting point to plan and visit site attractions and very accessible to subways. And if you plan to use the subway, make sure to get your tickets for your whole stay in the city to avoid time delays, (dealing with queing, validating the ticket, etc.).
