We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good. We had a room for 4 and a single room and both were clean, warm and quiet. This is a great location for visiting the sites.
Tips about Paris
This location, close to Gare de Lyon but also not far from Bastille metro and the river, provides a good choice of public transport. The Batobus stop is 5 minutes walk on the opposite side of the river and we found a two day pass (14 euros for an adult and 7 for a child) to be good value. There are regular boats that stop at several points between Jardin des Plantes and the Eiffel Tour, so you can then explore on foot. If you get tired, have a rest on the boat and see the sights!

Chambre très calme ce qui nous a permis de bien nous reposer après un voyage avec décalage horaire.
Le service a été très efficace pour nous donner les clés de la chambre dés notre arrivée en début de matinée.
Hôtel bien situé: prés de la gare de Lyon, proximité des commerce et d'un beau quartier de Paris.

The location of this hotel de France (especially for the money) is outstanding. It is one block from the metro/subway station which will take you anywhere in Paris. It is also only 15-20 minutes walking from the Notre Dame, aka: central Paris. The people who run the hotel are consciencious about safety and keep an eye out as to who is coming and going. The neighborhood is very safe, and I had no qualms about being out after dark with my mother and mother-in-law. I would definitely stay here again!
Tips about Paris
Use the metro--it's easy to figure out and very affordable. We did Versailles on our own, and saved a ton of money. Roundtrip metro tickets to Versailles are 8 euros & it only takes 40 minutes to get there. Museum cost is 15-25 euros depending on which areas you want to see & whether you want a headset. My advice: don't just automatically book tour groups; try some things on your own as well!! Don't be afraid to get out there!!

Cet hôtel est très accueillant et calme malgré un cadre intérieur vieillissant, mais les prix sont abordables pour Paris compte tenu de sa situation près de la gare de Lyon et de Bercy.
Le personnel d'accueil est très à l'écoute des clients , très sympathique avec une mention spéciale à Rita.
Tips about Paris
Voyageant à partir de Roissy , j'utilise le bus Air France qui se trouve à 3 minutes de l'hôtel.

This was a nice Hotel, clear and comfortable, convenient location and good value for money. The room was little noisy as it had a wall next to the stair well. Very friendly and nice staff. It was also very close to the Bastille Metro and Garde Lyon. We would stay there again for the price.

Location is really great, close to the Gare de Lyon provides good transport. Staff is very helpful, from time of reservation to the end of stay. Really nice place.

It's a simple hotel, well located close to Gare de Lyon. We did not stay long but whenever it was needed the staff showed courtesy and friendliness.
Tips about Paris
Cours Emilion and the area on the other side of the river, facing Rive Gauche, across the beautiful Sarah Bernhardt bridge is a must see.
Quartier Latin area is always full of life at night and their restaurants offer good food (as it happens almost everywhere in France)

Tips about Paris
Walk around the city to see the beautiful buildings and sculptures. But it is extremely costly in comparision to Asian countries. Mcdonald's is the saviour for food.

The hotel was in the middle of some renovation when I stayed (July 2008), so they threw in breakfast for free. Good, safe location -- a few blocks from Bastille metro stop. You leave your key with the front desk and they don't check id when you pick it back up, so I worried a bit about the security of my luggage. Wi-fi internet was free, but only worked in the main lobby.
Tips about Paris
Try the sewer tour! Surprisingly interesting! Kind of smell, though.

There was building work we hadn't been warned about, otherwise marks would have been higher. Also, quite noisy at night. Good points - handy for Gare de Lyon, able to leave luggage before room was ready and early breakfast no problem. Also large family room available. Good for overnight stay when traveling. Friendly and functional. Near to cheap cafe.
Tips about Paris
Pre-book for Eiffel Tower to avoid long queues. Also buy Paris travel card online from Paris tourist office before you go.

A very good position if you have train tickets to the South France (5 minutes walking from Gare du Paris Lyon). Staff is very friendly. A nice and clean hotel for travelers. But I expected bigger room for 60 EUR.
